Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

This is the first post on my new blog. I’m just getting this new blog going, so stay tuned for more. Subscribe below to get notified when I post new updates.
Middle-aged men tend to be described as “distinguished”. Yet for women, these years tend to feel like the beginning of the end of a vibrant and youthful life. It’s a scary time—a time when you start to look back at where you’ve been and what you’ve accomplished. In some cases, looking back isn’t satisfying at all. But being a middle-aged woman doesn’t have to be a crisis and it certainly doesn’t mean we are “washed up”. Instead we should listen to the changes, desires and needs we feel at this age and work to fulfill them. I did. It’s my mid-life awakening. My time to focus on me. My dreams yet unfulfilled. My health. My emotional as well as physical well-being. This is why I created this blog. To share my journey in starting life over, this time with my happiness in mind. This is my journey in taking care of me first. I hope it helps and encourages other real women who find themselves in their forties thinking “What have I done in my life to feel happy and fulfilled?”
